Every time you search with GoodSearch, a donation will be made to RAPTOR, Inc.
If you find an injured bird of prey
1. Do NOT attempt to capture it yourself.
To help reduce stress on the bird, you can try to place a large cardboard box over it. This will calm the bird and keep it where it is.
2. Call RAPTOR, Inc. at (513) 825-3325.
Our dispatcher will alert one of our volunteers to come and pick up the bird. Please be patient...we have volunteers from all over the area, and the dispatch will attempt to locate the closest volunteer.
3. The volunteer will capture the bird and place it in a carrier. He or she will then get some basic information from you (i.e. your name, address and phone number).
This is to keep track of where the bird was found, and if it can be rehabilitated, it will be released there.
Birds of prey include: Hawks, owls, eagles, falcons and osprey.
If you find a type of bird that is NOT a bird of prey, please contact a local rehab by searching here.
